MISSION

The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce is a pro-business NETWORK providing SERVICE , POLITICAL ADVOCACY , and LEADERSHIP to strengthen EDUCATION , COMMUNITY IMAGE , and LOCAL BUSINESSES .

GOALS

  •  To provide a NETWORK of business professionals and opportunities to develop relationships and grow local businesses.

•  To increase SERVICES provided to Chamber members and to the community in order to increase and improve member businesses.

•  To build a pro-business network to enhance POLITICAL ADVOCACY , influencing legislation that affects business and educating government and political officials.

•  To serve as a LEADER in identifying strengths and challenges, bringing parties together, and promoting collaboration.

•  To develop a two-pronged EDUCATION program through K-MBA education issue advocacy and through member-to-member Chamber education, ultimately leading to economic development.

•  To build the COMMUNITY IMAGE in Decatur and Macon County and beyond.

•  To build the LOCAL BUSINESS economy by bringing businesses together to do business.
