 AMBASSADOR OF THE MONTH
Please join me in congratulating our Ambassador of the Month, Mike Horcharik, Marketing Consultant for WAND TV. Mike has been with WAND for nearly two years, working with businesses to develop strategic advertising campaigns. Mike joined the Ambassadors in October, 2007 and has been a very active member of the Ambassador Committee. He has participated in ribbon cuttings, after hours, the Chamber Business Expo, and Taste of Decatur, just to name a few. Thank you for being an active member of the Ambassador Committee!!

 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS RECAP
 St. Mary's Hospital hosted the May Chamber Business After Hours. Guests were treated to a tour of the newly renovated Cancer Care Center while enjoying beverages and hors d'oeuvres. Chamber members received first hand details on the newly installed TomoTherapy and PET/CT units. The impressive TomoTherapy unit is only one of 250 in the world, making cancer care treatment more accessible for patients within Decatur and the surrounding area.
The next Business After Hours will be held at the Baymont Inn on June 12, 2008. |

 SHADOWS OF LINCOLN FESTIVAL
JUNE 7, 2008
10am-4pm
Walk in the footsteps of Abraham Lincoln during the inaugural Shadows of Lincoln Festival in downtown Decatur on Saturday, June 7, 2008. Enjoy guided walking tours with Lincoln characters and interpreters, Lincoln art exhibits, artisan demonstrations, musical performances, storytellers, Farmer's Market and prairie-style home cooking in Central Park. The Merchant Penny Sale, horse-drawn carriage rides and trolley rides to the Oglesby Mansion round out your day in Decatur.
The Grand Finale is an evening performance at the historic Lincoln Square Theatre at 7:30 p.m. starring Jean Smart and Richard Gilliland.
